Richard "Rick" Callihan, 62, of Schellsburg, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, in Johnstown. He was born on June 7, 1954, in Bedford, a son of the late Harry Callihan and Lucille (Oldham) Callihan who survives of Schellsburg. On September 19, 1987, in Schellsburg, he married Elaine (Nave) Callihan who survives along with two brothers: Robert “Bobby” Callihan and wife JoAnn, of Schellsburg, Jay Callihan and wife Chris of Schellsburg; a sister, Diane Callihan, of New Paris; and his mother-in-law, S. Mae Nave, also of Schellsburg.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Veryl Callihan and his wife Susan.

Rick was a 1972 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He was a member of the Shawnee Valley Fire Dept., Bedford Moose Lodge # 480, Bedford Masonic Lodge # 320 F&AM, New Baltimore Sportsman Club, and the wizards Investment club.  He drove truck for Sheetz, for10 years and prior to that drove for McQuaid Trucking.  He and his wife owned the Callihan’s storage units and sponsored a little league team for many years.  His hobbies were collecting miniature tractors. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Schellsburg UCC, with Linda Kibler officiating.  Friends will be received on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
