Glenn E. Shaffer, 89, of Bedford, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at his daughter’s residence. He was born on June 3, 1927, in Schellsburg, a son of the late John and Margaret Cleo (Fisher) Shaffer. On December 18, 1950, in Schellsburg, he married Dorothy P. (Leonard) Shaffer and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2015.  She is survived by three daughter: Cathy Horner and husband Randy, of Baltimore, MD, Glenda Stickel and husband Kevin, of Bedford, Sharon Foor and husband Rusty, of Everett; five grandchildren:  Michael Gartside, Kelly Mullen, Amber Stickel and fiancé Levi Ferrell, Jessie and Steven Foor; and nine great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy Smith, three brothers:  Sunny, Ben, and Robert, a sister Pauline, and a brother-in-law, Raymond Clyde Leonardi.

Glenn worked as a truck driver for Bedford Valley for many years and retired from Snyder’s Gateway in Breezewood.
