I worked with Pappy at Lane from the time I joined the company in 1984 until he retired. While I was sometimes slow to learn, he taught me a lot about pipe production, inventory management and cost control. I loved to listen to his stories and enjoyed his good sense of humor at the company meetings. And, when he shook your hand, he had a grip like a bear trap. May he rest in peace and may his family find comfort for their loss.

Pappy and I were the best of friends our whole lives. Our friendship started in school in Fishertown and continued as co-workers during our time at Lane Enterprises. Belva and I participated in Virginia's and Pappy's wedding , and we stayed in contact over the years. Pappy will be greatly missed ; my whole family sends our condolences and sympathies.

Pappy was a good friend as well as a co-worker at Lane. We shared many memories of the Fishertown area over our years of working together. He was always ready for a good laugh; he was great individual. I will never forget him or the times we enjoyed together. My sympathy to you and your family.
