Wayne Faupel Obituary

Wayne C. Faupel, 77, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on November 12, 1946 in Bedford, a son of the late William C. and Anna May (Crisp) Faupel.  On June 11, 1967 at the Centerville United Methodist Church, he married Glenora (Hansrote) Faupel, who survives along with two children: Jessica M. Faupel-Badger and husband John of Germantown, MD; and Adam C. Faupel and wife Julie, of Schellsburg; five grandchildren: Lauren and Valerie Badger, Joseph, Trinity, and Zander Faupel.  He was preceded in death by a brother William A. Faupel, and a sister Margaret L. “Peggy” Faupel.

Wayne was a 1964 graduate of Bedford High School where he also met his future wife of over 56 years.  He received undergraduate degrees in business from Robert Morris University and the University of Baltimore, and later completed a Master in Business Administration from Frostburg State University.  Wayne’s career resulted in him and Glenora living in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Evansville before returning to Bedford to raise a family.  Most recently he has been CEO of Green Gardens Products Company for the past 21 years. 

Outside of work, Wayne was actively involved in Masonic organizations including serving as P.M. as Bedford Lodge (#320) and Everett Lodge (#524) of the Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania; P.H.P. of Bedford Royal Arch Chapter #255; P.M.E.G.H.P. of Grand Holy Royal Chapter of PA; P.T.I.M. of Mountain Council #9; P.E.C. and D.C. of Mountain Commandry #10; P.P. of Keystone Priory, Knights of York Cross of Honor; P.S.M. of Constans Conclave Red Cross of Constatine; Conemaugh Gap, York Rite College; Ashcom Quarry Assemblage of the Operatives 7degree; P.M. Bloody Run Court #127 of Athelstan; August Order of Light; P.P. Triple Triangle, K.T.P. Rosicruciana; Triune Tabernacle #7; Royal Order of Scotland; A.A.S.R. Valley of Altoona 33 degree.  He was also an avid hunter, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved being around his grandchildren.
