Thomas B. Waller, 91 of Imler, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Skilled Nursing Home in Bedford. He was born on July 18, 1932 in Washington D.C., a son of the late Abe and Helen Elma (Daniel) Waller. On September 22, 1956 in Bedford, he married Rubye (Rininger) Waller who survives along with the following family: two daughters, Susan K. Parry widow Michael of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Sharon H. Irwin and husband Tony of College Station, TX; and a son, Thomas D. Waller and wife Serena of Everett; seven grandchildren: Paige Parry, Connor Parry, Alli Paget, Jill Trandel, Ben Fontaine, Megan Utz, and John Waller; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Joe and John Waller.
Thomas graduated from Bedford High School in 1950 and then served in the Army from 1950 to 1955. After the Army he went to work for the government from 1956 to1970. After he retired Tom moved his family to Bedford County. Tom and Rubye were both very active in their church where he served on the church council, as treasure and as a Sunday School Teacher.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Pastor Gary Boor and Pastor Dan Stultz officiating. Burial will be private. Full military rites will be conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
