Shirley (Lowery) Glass

Shirley Glass, 83 of Bedford, died on Saturday April 16, 2022 at her daughter’s home. She was born on May 3, 1938 a daughter of the late Clifton G. and Cartha Mae (Breese) Lowery. On August 28, 1954, in Cumberland, MD, she married Raymond J. Glass who preceded her in death on August 21, 2015.  She is survived by a daughter Roxanne Jones husband Kevin of Bedford; a son, Raymond Glass and wife Brenda of Shermans Dale; four grandchildren:  Aaron, Alex, Clifton, Christina; three great-grandchildren; one sister Betty Ann Howsare and husband Rev. Fred of Bedford.   She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Ray Glass.

Shirley attended the Real Life Church in Bedford.  She worked at Bedford Hospital in the OBYGN department. After her retirement from the hospital she cared for people in their homes.  She enjoyed boating at Raystown Lake, camping and shopping.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Woods Church in Rainsburg, with Rev. Fred Howsare officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday form 12 – 2 p.m at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A.
