Sandra Kay Ross 72, of Manns Choice, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1948 in Covington, KY a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Blakewood) Patten. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Ross, and the following family: a daughter Christy Genua and husband Matt, of Manns Choice, a son Brian Ross and wife Wendy, of Inwood, WV, and a daughter Joy Clayton and husband Jason, of McGaheysville, VA; nine grandchildren: Erin, Abby, Makenlee, Devin, Kyle, Kari, Gabby, Amber, and Kaytlin, and husband Daniel; a great-grandson, Brantley; and a brother Robert Patten and wife Nancy, of Willard, OH.
Sandy graduated from high school in Toldeo, OH and then attended Tri-State Beauty Academy, in Cumberland, MD. She owned and operated her own beauty salon for 18 years. She loved boating, camping, visiting the shore, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Sandy was a faithful member of the Bedford United Methodist Church. She was a very faith filled person and had a strong relationship with the Lord. Sandy was a most giving, thoughtful, and kind person, who always was thinking of others.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at the Bedford United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Marsh officiating. Burial at St. Luke’s Cemetery, in Saxton. Friends will be received on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
