Ruby M. Bohn 82, of New Enterprise formerly of Bedford, died on Friday, January 7, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 29, 1939 in Alum Bank a daughter of the late Melvin and Juliana (Musselman) Harr. On December 1, 1956 in New Paris, she married Chester R. Bohn who preceded her in death on June 10, 2007. She is survived by a daughter Tania Swope and husband Mark of New Enterprise; two grandchildren: Ezra Swope and wife Kaitlyn of New Enterprise, and Hannah Allen and husband John of Imler; and six siblings: Lois Hurley and husband Lee of Bedford; Judy Thomas widow of Ted of Windber; Lena Sloan and husband Lynn of Boyertown; Bob Harr of Windber; Tom Harr and wife Carol of Windber; and Cindy Wright and husband Butch also of Windber and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Ida Jump widower Gene who survives of Pensacola, FL and Freda McKinney; and one brother Melvin “Sonny” Harr.
Ruby worked as a secretary and retired from the Bedford Area School District. She was a member of the Milligans Cove Christian Church. Some of her favorite things were spending time with her grandchildren, traveling to Florida in the winter with her husband and shopping.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
