Roy F. Mock Jr. 74, of Bedford, died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1946 in Schellsburg a son of the late Roy F. and Ruth (Weaver) Mock. On April 14, 1966 in Ryot he married Nancy (Burkett) Mock, who survives along with two daughters: Valerie Bowser and husband Lorne, of Alum Bank, and Kristie Mock, of Bedford; three grandchildren: Tessa Bartholow and husband Rodney, Elyse Rosage and husband Eric, and Jeg Bowser and fiancée Olivia Bence; two great-grandchildren: Josalyn Bartholow and Fynn Rosage; three brothers: R. Carl Mock and wife Wanda, of Pensacola, FL, Daniel Mock and wife Lisa, of Houston, and Timothy Mock and wife Tracy, of Osterburg; four sisters: Judith Powell, of Schellsburg, Patricia Price and husband Wayne, of Bedford, Karon Mock, of Schellsburg, and Sharon Diehl and husband Mike, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by two brothers: David and Ronald Mock.
Roy retired from PBS Coal Company after 34 years. He loved going to Florida in the winter, and socializing. Roy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the birds and the squirrels in his yard. We lost the best husband, father, pappy, and great-pappy that any of us could have asked for. We thank God for the wonderful years we had with him and will cherish every memory. We will miss him so much!
