Ronald W. “Chief” Clark 82, of Monroeville, died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Longwood at Oakmont. He was born on July 25, 1938 in Everett, a son of the late Edith (Ritchey) Clark. On May 27, 1961, in Bedford, he married Joyce M. (Dishong) Clark who preceded him in death on March 2, 2020. He is survived by the following family: a daughter Melanie J. Duke and husband David, of Ocean City, NJ, a son Matthew W. Clark and wife Suzanne, of Allison Park, a son John A. Clark and wife Helen, of Dover, and a daughter Marisa G. Clark and husband Ken Dowd, of Bethel Park; five grandchildren: Emily Duke, Caitlyn Vest, Corey, Harrison, and Emmett Clark; five great-grandchildren; and a brother Gregory Clark and companion Angie Dorsey, of Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Nicole Duke, a brother Richard Clark, and a sister Winefred Steach.
Ron was a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College, and spent his career as an Optical Mechanical Designer. He was a long time PIAA wrestling official, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and following the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Ron spent many years taking care of his wife, and making sure his children were taken care of.
