Peggy Lou Weyant 82, of Osterburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was born on July 20, 1940 in King Township a daughter of the late Robert M. King Sr. and Edythe (Miller) King. On March 20, 1959 in Winchester, VA she married Curtis D. Weyant Sr. who preceded her in death on November 9, 2005. She is survived by three children: Curtis D. Weyant Jr. and wife Sarah, Lori A. Schoenberger and husband David, and Travis L. Weyant and wife Autumn, all of Osterburg; six grandchildren: Joshua Weyant and wife Tina, Beth Pennino and husband Nick, Tyler Schoenberger and wife Gwen, Jordan Schoenberger and wife Amanda, and Morgan and Addison Weyant; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles, Robert, and Joseph King.
Peggy was a 1958 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She worked as a waitress in the Bedford area for over 30 years, with her most memorable times working at Ed’s Steakhouse. Peggy enjoyed attending auctions, and listening to country and gospel music. Most of all she cherished her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and will always remain in their hearts. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she has a new body, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis for over 35 years, and she is now walking with her Lord and Savior.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor David Schoenberger officiating. Burial at Pavia Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m., until the hour of the service.
