Orville W. Keel 71, of Bedford, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born on February 23, 1949 in Roaring Spring, a son of the late William and Elsie (Hann) Keel. On June 30, 1972 in Bedford he married Sharon (Price) Keel who survives along with the following family: Tim Keel and companion Patricia Fleck, of New Enterprise, an estranged daughter Amy Craig, of North Carolina; two granddaughters: Tori Craig, of New Enterprise, and Abbey Craig, of North Carolina; a grandson, Buddy; and two sisters: Mary Claar, widow of Jack of Bedford, and Dorothy Kagarise of Mifflintown. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; four brothers: Norman, William, Donald, and a twin brother Oliver Keel; five sisters: Rosie Reeb, Florine Sealover, Pauline Keel, and Annabelle Berkebile.
Orville was a 1969 graduate of Everett High School. He served in the Army during Vietnam. He worked for the Bedford Borough Public Works, and the Bedford County Jail as a corrections officer. He held the 1983 Bench Press Title in the United States. Orville enjoyed drawing and mentoring kids through weightlifting.
