Mason Hammond Obituary

Mason Marshall Hammond, 56 of Bedford, died on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Hospital. He was born on April 5, 1965 in Bedford a son of the late Jerry M. Hammond and Ruth “Patty” Findley. On December 8, 1996 in Schellsburg he married Bridget (Peters) Hammond who survives along two children: a daughter Amanda Miller and husband Ryan of Osterburg; a son Jared Hammond of Bedford; and three dogs Anna, Sage, and Bunny.

Mason worked for MEC that was formerly Defiance Metal Products for 16 years. He was a loving father and husband. He was a big history buff, outdoorsman, handyman, and enjoyed using his workshop to fix things and to help others.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. In lieu of flowers those wishing can make donations to the Bedford Food Outreach, 140 School Street, Bedford, PA 15522. Our online guest book is available www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
