Marjorie Horner Obituary

Marjorie M. Horner, 90, of Bedford, died on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on October 3, 1929, in Hopewell, a daughter of the late Lawrence   and Mary (Helsel) McGee. On October 23, 1955 in Cumberland, MD she married John C. "Bud" Horner who preceded her in death on February 6, 2004. She is survived by a son Lorn L. Horner and wife Virginia of Bedford; a daughter Betty Lou Rapsky and husband Frank of Central City; three grandchildren:  Vicky Horner of Herrington, DE and Frank Rapsky and wife Jessica of Monessen; Lori Seiger and husband Joe of Rocky Mountain, NC; five great-grandchildren:  Brooke Howard, Cole, Mason, and Gabrielle Rapsky, and Billy Seiger.   She was preceded in death by five sisters Sara Foster, Gertie Hinish, Clarisse Foor, Martha Bingham, and Margaret Sell; and one brother Robert McGee.

Marjorie was a member of the Wolfsburg United Methodist Church. She had various jobs throughout the years including Fairfoot Shoe Factory in Bedford, waitressing, and her last job was working for Health Ride Plus.  She enjoyed camping, square dancing being a 4H leader and was a brown leader in the girl scouts. She was member of the Lions Club, and a life member of the Moose Lodge # 480.
