Kerry J. Deffibaugh, 68 of Imler, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on October 2, 1948 in Altoona a son of the late James W. and Elsie J. (Cox) Deffibaugh.  On June 16, 1995, in Winchester, VA, he married Sheryll (Fleegle) Deffibaugh, who survives along with the following family: three daughters, Michelle Spinelli and husband George, of Central City, Jennifer Long and husband William, of Maryville, TN, and Angie Frazee, of Imler; three grandchildren: Erin and fiancé Levi Thomas, Emma, and Elaina; and three sisters: Bonita Fink, widow of Dave, of Bedford, Kathy Hauck (William Miller), of Clearville, and Alice Anderson, of Claysburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and his precious dog Lucky, who was his pride and joy.  He was preceded in death by his first wife of 24 years, Sandra G. Deffibaugh, and a brother-in-law, David Hauck.

Kerry was a 1966 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  He worked construction for over 45 years, and retired from Major Builders in Johnstown.  Kerry enjoyed hunting deer and Morel Mushrooms, reloading ammunition, and going to trap shoots. The family would like to extend their thanks to Bedford County Home Hospice for the care Kerry received.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor John Bennett officiating.  Burial at Upper Claar Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
