Kenneth E. Moreland 64, of Centerville, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on July 13, 1956 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Maurice and Mabel (Griffith) Moreland. On July 14, 1973 in Bedford he married Kim (Braman) Moreland who survives along with two sons: William “Bill” Moreland and companion Brenda Foor, of Bedford, and Mark Moreland widower of Michelle, of Port Matilda; five grandchildren: Cameron, Isaac, Isis, Teagun, and Lucien; a brother William Moreland and wife Elsbeth; two sisters: Kathleen Athey and husband Robert, and Marsha Griffith and husband Blane, all of Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Moreland widow Ruth, of Bedford, and a daughter-in-law Pela.
Ken served in the US Army, and worked for B&O Railroad and NES&L. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed camping and boating at Raystown Lake with his family and friends. Ken was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be private. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 12:30 p.m., at Fellowship Cemetery, in Centerville, with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
