Joseph H. Pierce Jr., 94 of Bedford, died on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. He was born on March 10, 1928, in East Nantmeal Twp. in Chester County, a son of the late Joseph H. and Dorothy (Wynn) Pierce Sr. On April 8, 1967, in Blandon, he married Irene E. (Lilley) Pierce who survives along with the following family a son Gregory N. Pierce and wife Lora of Belgrade, MT; six grandchildren: Rachel Turner and husband Brent of Bozeman, MT; Vanessa Tindall and husband Jared of Wallingford, PA; Ethan Pierce and wife Heather of Morton, PA; Benjamin Pierce of Bozeman, MT; Natalie Pierce of Fort Collins, CO, and Catherine Pierce of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Louise Colatriano of Wilmington, DE and Mabel Strock of Elverson, PA. He was preceded in death by two sisters Dorothy Best and Anna Herb.

Joseph was an Army veteran who served in Korea. He worked as a truck driver hauling logs for the family business, and then worked as a mechanic at the International Garage in West Chester. He enjoyed tinkering with his cars and being outside. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife to the Chesapeake Bay and fishing.
