Jay Allen Benton Jr., 58, of Bedford died on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on April 25, 1963 in Martinsburg a son of the late Jay Allen Benton Sr. and Dolores Elvira (Feathers) Benton who survives on Martinsburg. Also surviving are a son Andrew Benton and wife Katelynn of Bedford; two grandchildren: Aubree and Blake; a sister Carol Harr and husband George of Claysburg; and a brother Brian Benton and wife Sheila of Central City. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Valet and Fiancé Lisa A. Barnes.

Jay worked as a carpenter for Fred Imler and Sons and Dean Blattenberger and his last job was working for SKE Designs. He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School class of 1981. He was a big fan of watching Nascar and Football.
