James W. Wood IV 26 of S. Richard St., Bedford, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown. He was born August 28, 1980 in Bedford, son of James W. Wood III and Kathy R. (McGill) Wood of Bedford. Along with his parents he is survived by a sister Courtney wife of Blair Leydig of Hyndman and a niece Darby Leydig, Also surviving is his Paternal Grandmother Betty W. Wood of Bedford and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, James W. Wood Jr. and his Maternal Grandparents, James F. and Regina Stella McGill and his uncle Terry McGill.
Mr. Wood was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He had attended Allegany College of Maryland. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a loving son and brother who will be greatly missed. He was employed at Bedford Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Funeral Services: Saturday 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Father Raymond Crosser officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
