James M. Hintz, 70, of Bedford, died on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on March 23, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI a son of the late Michael C. and Evelyn (Higgins) Hintz. He is survived by two daughters: Megan Whitmer and husband Casey and Melissa Gates and husband Chris all of Bedford; one son, Michael R. Hintz and wife Peggy Sue of Bedford; five grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Hunter, AnnaSophia, Scarlett, and Bastian; former wife and companion, Donna Williams of Bedford; two sisters: Mary Hutchinson of Conover, WI; and Elizabeth “Betty” Hintz of Madison, WI.
James drove truck as an owner operator before driving for Consolidated Freight Ways for 37 years and retired in 2010. He was an army veteran that served in Vietnam. He enjoyed model trains, playing cards with his grandchildren, watching TV, and his cats.
