Ida F. Leptic, 96, of Bedford, died on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on October 30, 1923, in Breezewood, a daughter of the late Earl R. and Mary A. (Drenning) Foor. She is survived by a daughter, Penelope Gibbs of Laurel, MD; a granddaughter Courtney DeVane and husband Michael also of Laurel, MD; and one brother, Timothy R. Foor of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by four sisters: Helen Leach, Vera Mills, Vada Weber, and Joy Foor; six brothers: Marvin, Norman, Earl Jr., Mason, Willard, and Ned Foor; and a half brother, Paul K. Drenning.
Ida was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She graduated from Everett High School class of 1941. After high school she worked at the sewing factory in Everett. She then moved to Baltimore to work in the shipyards during the war and then moved back to Bedford to work as a waitress for Mae’s Dinner and Kelly’s Restaurant which was the former Reed’s Restaurant at the time. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching game shows, and watching baseball especially the Pirates. She was a good yodeler in her younger years.
