George Kauffman Obituary

George C. Kauffman 68, of Osterburg, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 24, 1953 in Bedford, a son of the late Junior “Champ” and Dorothy “Mamee” (Luttrell) Kauffman. On March 17, 1972 in Osterburg he married Gaylene (Hershberger) Kauffman who survives along with the following family: a daughter Amy Day and husband Jesse Jr., of Osterburg, a son Kip Kauffman and wife Tara and Osterburg, a daughter Beth Kauffman and significant other Josh Heming, of Imler, a niece raised in their home Jessica Lehman, of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren: Danessa Roudabush and husband Steven Jr., Joshua Day and wife Lindsay, Kara Kauffman, and Isac Kauffman; three great-grandchildren: Adalyn and Kaden Roudabush; and Paisley (on the way); a sister Karen Smith and husband Mike, of East Freedom; a uncle Joe Lutrell, of West Virginia; and several nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a nephew Derek Lehman, and his father-in-law James Hershberger.

George worked as a machinist for Cannondale, and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
