Franklin A. Koontz

Franklin A. Koontz, 100, formerly of Friends Cove, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Hudson Grande, in Hudson, OH.  He was born on December 16, 1921 in Bedford, a son of the late Walter and Mildred (Pennel) Koontz.  On December 19, 1944 he married Mildred (Koontz) Koontz who preceded him in death on February 18, 2016.  He is survived by two daughters: Linda Shaub, of Hudson, OH, and Debbie Koontz, of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren: Hayley and Andrew Shaub; one great-grandchild; two brothers: Joe Koontz, and Jack Koontz and wife Marg, both of Bedford; and a sister Donna Wagoner, of York.

Franklin was a member of the Friends Cove United Church of Christ.  He operated his own farm, and also worked for Westinghouse, from which he retired. 

Funeral services will be private.  Burial at Friends Cove UCC Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
