Elsie Cornell Obituary

Elsie Louise Cornell 84, of Bedford, died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Meyersdale Healthcare & Rehabilitation.  She was born on September 29, 1937 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Donald and Amy (Heit) Weaverling.  On November 17, 1956 in Bedford she Married Floyd Allen Cornell who preceded her in death on August 20, 2003.  She is survived by two sons: Michael Cornell and wife Heather, and Jeff Cornell and wife Kris; and a daughter Amy Musselman and husband Carl, all of Bedford; six grandchildren: Cody, Justin, Joshua, Michael, Megan, and Connor; and a sister-in-law Gloria Weaverling.  She was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Ann Weaverling; and two brothers: William Weaverling and Donald Weaverling Jr.

Louise worked at the former Arena Restaurant for over 30 years.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Bedford American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Everett, with Father Derek Fairman Celebrant.  Burial at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, in Bedford.  Friends will be received on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A.
