Dorothy "Dottie" J. (Dibert) Weaver

Dorothy J. ‘Dottie” Weaver 85, of Bedford, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on June 15, 1935 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph Emory and Mary Jane (Biddle) Dibert.  On July 19, 1954 in Cumberland, MD she married Preston G. Weaver who preceded her in death on January 13, 2013.  She is survived by a daughter Dixie Lee Ford and husband John, of Bedford; three sons: Frank P. Weaver and wife Lois, Tom J. Weaver, and John S. Weaver and wife Amy, all of Bedford; six grandchildren: Julie, Amy, Jason, Hanna, Adam, and Preston; five great-grandchildren: Cody, Cole, Lauren, Carter, and Natalie; one great-great-grandson, Jackson; a brother Joseph Dibert, of Bedford, and a sister Sandra Dibert, of Ohio.  She was preceded in death by a sister Jennie Dibert.

Dottie was a waitress at the former Bedford Springs Hotel and an Antique Dealer.  She enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, and yard sales.  Dottie loved family gatherings, spending time with her grandchildren, and playing cards.
