Dorothy B. (Bowen) David

Dorothy B. David, 81, of Ebensburg, formerly of Bedford, died on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Cambria Care Center in Ebensburg. She was born on November 24, 1940 in Everett, a daughter of the late Dorsey I. and Pearl H. (Robinette) Bowen. On December 16, 1989 in Atco, NJ, she married John David, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2020. She is survived by two daughters:  Debbie Sowers and husband Gregg of McConnellsburg, and Vickie Bardell and husband Rick of Bedford; two grandchildren:  Andrew Smith and wife Tifa of Wells Tannery and Brandon Bardell and wife Krisha of Bedford; three great-grandchildren:  Benjamin Smith, Kai and Kaden Bardell.  Two stepchildren: Jack David and wife Cindy; Linda Bross and husband Bob; step granddaughter Gemma, all of New Jersey; three sisters, Carol Harclerode of Everett; Margaret Kaufman of Pleasantville; Wanda Woy and companion Mark Kohler of New Paris; two brothers, Chester Bowen and wife Kathy of Osterburg; and Michael Bowen of Six Mile Run.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rex V. Baughman; three brothers: William, Allen, and Thomas Bowen, and one sister, Linda Kwedar.

Dorothy worked for various places that included Baughman Trucking Company, Landmark Restaurant in Everett, 76 Truck Stop in Breezewood, and Bardell’s Ceramics.  She was a loving mother, meticulous homemaker, and creative cook.  In her younger days, she was a talented musician and singer that performed with several country bands.  Some of her hobbies were participating in craft shows, fishing, and horseback riding.  Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
