David E. Lamison Jr., 87 of Bedford died on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. He was born on August 26, 1934, in Johnstown, a son of the late David E. and Catherine (Oppy) Lamison Sr. In June of 1959 in Schellsburg, he married Ellen (Hillegas) Lamison who survives along a son Craig D. Lamison and wife Bonnie of Brunswick, MD; two grandchildren: David Lamison and wife Leslie of Chesapeake, VA; and Katelyn Lamison of Chicago, IL; two brothers: William R. Lamison widower of Mildred of Ryot; and Robert G. Lamison and wife Betsy of Fishertown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet May widower Charles who survives of Bedford.
David graduated from Schellsburg Napier High School in 1952. He worked as an apprentice with Westinghouse in the 1950’s and retired in 1994 as a machinist and programmer for the U.S. Navy. Some of his favorite things were watching hockey and baseball on television, listening and playing organ music, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. A graveside service will follow at Woods Church Cemetery in Rainsburg with Rev. Dr. William Shrout officiating.
