Christine E. (Gould) Burkett

Christine E. Burkett, 67, of Bedford died on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on January 15, 1956 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Robert N. and JoAnn (Robertson) Gould who survives of Bedford. On September 17, 1983 in Bedford, she married John D. Burkett who survives along with the following family: a son R. Chad Burkett and wife Melissa of Monroeville; a daughter Sarah Burkett of Bedford; two step-sons David Burkett and wife Melissa of Bedford, and Jason Burkett and wife Ruby of Osterburg; six grandchildren:  Aubrey, Jerod, John, Gavin, Alyssa, and Skarlet;  three sisters Susan George and husband Scott of Inwood, WV;  Kathy Stahl of Bedford; and Amy Frame and husband Rick of Salt Lake City, UT; three brothers David Gould of Everett;  R. Jesse Gould of Bedford;  Ross Gould widower of Lori of Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tyra Elizabeth Burkett.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. David Weinhold officiating.  Friends will be received on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make memorial donation in Christine’s name to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard, 3721 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522.
