Obituary
Charles J. Fleegle, 69, of Bedford, died on Friday, August 18, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1954 in Bedford, a son of the late Charles E. and Mary (Capik) Fleegle. He is survived by the following family: a daughter, Amy Fleegle of Bedford; a son, Charles J. Fleegle also of Bedford; three grandchildren: Gabriel Beegle, Emma and Ella Fleegle; two brothers, Richard Fleegle and wife Nora of Hollidaysburg, and David E. Fleegle and wife Vickie of Bedford; and one sister, JoAnne Bortz and husband Jeffry of Bedford.
Charles graduated from Bedford High School in 1973. He retired from WW Engine after 35 years but prior to that and after retirement he worked for various places that included the Shoe factory, Hedstrom, Kersh Trucking, driving tri axle for Pete Miller, and LaSalle’s Towing He enjoyed working for Chuck Pensyl and all of his co-workers throughout the years. Charles was never afraid to stop and help a stranger. He enjoyed going to auctions and spending time at Denny’s, the Landmark, and the Diner.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
