Carole A. (Semmler) Henry

Carole A. Henry 84, of Bedford, died on Friday July 16, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 6, 1936, in Detroit, MI a daughter of the late Elmer and Meda (Carbaugh) Semmler. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Pete Wright and Jack Henry. She is survived by two sons: Steve Wright of Ebensburg, and Chris Wright of Schellsburg; two step-daughters, Bev O'Henry and husband Bob O’Neal of Lewisberry; Bonnie Bleicher  and husband Brian of Woodbury; two step-sons: Victor Henry and wife Joyce of Bedford, and Mahlon Henry and wife Jodie of New Enterprise; nine step-grandchildren, and 19 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lavade “Scooter” Berkebile.

Carole attended Pine Grove United Methodist Church and New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.  Carole had many jobs living in Bedford County that included the former Wrights Apple Orchard, the old Drive in Theatre in Cessna, G.C. Murphy, the laundry mat in Bedford, and also cleaned a few houses.  She loved her house plants, flowers, and square dancing.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor John Balliet officiating.  Burial at Fishertown Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday one hour prior to the service at funeral home.
