Brian E. Hess, 44, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at UPMC Bedford Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born on December 12, 1978, in Everett, a son of Walter and Margaret "Peg" (Clapper) Hess who survive of Everett. On September 4, 1999, in Fishertown, he married his high school sweetheart, Michelle (Newkirk) Hess and she survives along with the following family: a son Dakota Hess and fiancée Shellbe of Bedford; a daughter Krysta Hess and husband Kane of Hyndman, and a daughter Brittany Hess of Bedford; one brother, Ronn Hess of Everett; and a sister, Angel Hess of Breezewood. He also leaves behind his favorite spoiled dog Buster. He was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents.
Brian attended Everett Area High School with the class of 1997. Brian worked various laborer jobs and he also worked in management for Wal-Mart and Advanced Auto. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on cars, watching football, gardening, and anything that involved spending time with his family. He was always there for those in need and never asked for anything in return. He was “Papa” to many, a great listener, and he gave the best advice. His love for his wife, family, and God was one of great admirability. Brian was also strong-willed and stubborn, which undoubtedly helped him push through some of life’s most difficult trials including his long battle with kidney failure and later heart disease as well. He was an inspirational hero to many.
