Barry Loyd Barnes, 68, of Bedford, died on Monday, May 30, 2022 at his residence. He was born on February 16, 1954, in Long Island, NY a son of the late Loyd Barnes and Jettra (Tucker) Gardner and husband Dave who survive of Jasper, MO. On October 19, 1998 in Bedford, he married The Rev. Jenny (Shaffer) Barnes who survives along with the following family: a son Austin Barnes and Lindsay Waters of Albrightsville; a daughter AshleyAnn Caballero and husband Nathan of Huntington Beach, CA; two step-sons Jeremy Weber and Nathan Weber and wife Katie all of Bedford; a step-daughter Lycia Weber of Bedford; 10 grandchildren: Ethan, Dathan, Rachel, Lylee, Cooper, Lael, Silas, Reagan, Jensen, and Emily; and a sister Cheryl Sellstrom of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by a sister Kim Eller.
Barry worked in IT for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. He was a very active member that served on the praise team and was the IT person at Yeager Memorial Lutheran Church. His hobbies included being a singer, song writer, and playing the guitar, doing photography, and cooking barbecue. He loved nature, his birds, dogs, cats, and goats. He operated a global online ministry called Heavenly Images to which he created memorial pictures for those grieving the loss of a pet. Barry was a true jack of all trades. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Yeager Memorial Lutheran Church in Bedford with The Rev. Jenny Barnes officiating. Burial will be private. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
