Barry Hershberger Obituary

Barry L. Hershberger, 76 of Bedford, died on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at his residence. He was born on September 28, 1946 in Bedford, a son of the late John R. and Madolyn (Motto) Hershberger. On December 26, 1967, in Cumberland, MD, he married Deanna “Dea” M. (Rader) Hershberger who preceded him in death on April 1, 2017. He is survived by a grandson Blain Hershberger and wife Lauren of Somerset; a former daughter-in-law Heidi Showalter and husband Donald of Bedford; and one great grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by a son Jamie Hershberger and a brother Bud Hershberger.

Barry served in the Army during Vietnam and retired from SAC. He enjoyed spending time with the Vietnam Vets and being a grandfather. He also did a lot of golfing in his younger years.
