Barbara Emery Obituary

Barbara Lee Emery 82, of Bedford, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on March 28, 1940 in Rochester, PA a daughter of the late Milton Britain and Gertrude Mary (Young) Noonen.  On June 30, 1959 in Cumberland, MD she married John W. “Jack” Emery who preceded her in death on February 4, 2022.  She is survived by two children: Mary Emery, of Altoona and John Emery and wife Tracey, of Hainesport, NJ; four grandchildren: Kristin Long, Colin Emery, Ava Emery, and Zoe Emery; one great-grandson, Anthony Eberhart; and a sister Patricia Waddingham, of Titusville.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle Long; two sisters: Rilla Davis and Mary Ellen Hall; and brother Milton “Bud” Noonen.

Barbara enjoyed volunteering with the Bedford Sportsman’s Club, RSVP, Bedford Moose Lodge, and the American Red Cross Blood Drives.  She was a wonderful mother who dearly loved her children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, aka – care bear.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Kevin Stock officiating.  Friends will be received on Saturday, from 12:00 until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
