Ann Marie Guyer, 81, of New Enterprise, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. She was born on August 11, 1940 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late Charles Cumberland and Rose (Nonn) Berry. On December 15, 1993 in Fishertown she married Scott E. Guyer and he survives along with three daughters: Linda Dietz of Everett; Connie Way and husband Mark of Manns Choice; Carol Fochtman of Central City; a son Richard O’Brien and companion Brenda of Schellsburg; seven grandchildren: Victor Vargas Jr., N. David and José Vargas, Eric Way, Cindy Kipp, Melissa Smith, and Stacie O’Brien; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Freda Labuda widow of Ray of Central City; a brother Charles Cumberland and wife Patricia of Baltimore; and a step-sister Catherine Ruby also of Baltimore. She was preceded in death by two grandsons Troy and Ryan Fochtman; one great-grandchild Gabriella Hope, and one step-brother Charles Berry III.
Ann worked in customer service at Hedstrom until its closing. She did housekeeping at Bedford Hospital and volunteered at the Bedford County Humane Society. She was a member of the Schellsburg VFW, Bedford Moose, and the New Baltimore Sportsman’s Club. Some of her hobbies included making pine wreaths for Christmas and hand woven rugs on a loom that was made by her son. She loved to fish and care for her cats and dogs especially her loyal companion Buckshot.
Funeral services will be private. Friends will be received on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
