Aaron Rose Obituary

Aaron J. Rose 22, of Bedford, passed on Jan 3, 2020.  He was born on September 18, 1997 in Roaring Spring, a son of Mark J. Rose and Lisa Dawn of Bedford, and the natural son of Denys Newberry of Altoona.  Along with his parents he is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Rose and Honesty Dawn, beloved Aunt Sharon and Uncle Steve Clapper, Aunt Dawn Newberry, and was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives of three families.  He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Grover and Ruth Rose, and maternal grandparents, Richard and Sue Burkett, and an “Aunt” Connie Malone. 

He was a graduate of Bedford Area High School Class of 2015.  He was employed by Ritchey’s Dairy of Martinsburg of where he was in route at the time of his passing.  Aaron was formerly employed at Queen City Fruit & Produce of Bedford, where he was a much valued employee.  He was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #480, and the Rininger-Hartle VFW Post #9219.  He excelled at bowling and loved pool.  Aaron was a beloved son, brother, nephew and cousin. Although not overly outgoing socially, he was a good friend and loyal companion and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Stanley Howes officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, Aaron would surely prefer donations in his name to: Fix A Pet, 2052 Valley Road, Bedford, PA 15522, a program that he was familiar with due to the flux of cats in and out of his home.  The online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
