Wilma J. Corle

Wilma Jean Corle, 95, of Pitt St., Bedford, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her residence.  She was born April 4, 1917, a daughter of the late Ross and Emily (Henderson) Moorhead.  She was married to Scott C. Corle, Jr. and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1992.  She is survived by two sons; Terry Corle married to the former Sarah Painter of Leesburg, VA, and Jerry Corle of Bedford, five grandchildren; Scott, Jerry Lee, and Jason Corle, Tricia Wilkerson, and Lori Snyder, eight great grandchildren and a sister Doris wife of Stanley Fisher of Bedford, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister Helen Creighton and a brother John Moorhead.

Mrs. Corle was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1935, and a member of Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church.  She had worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone and retired from Howard Johnson’s Gift Shop.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. William Foy officiating.   Burial at St. Paul’s Reform Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
