William R. Will, 92 of Victoria Ave., Everett, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born October 25, 1920 in Somerset Township, son of the late Miles and May (Shafer) Will. He was preceded in death by his first wife Anna Ferne (Fredline) on September 17, 1996, and survived by his second wife Mae (Bence) Emerick Will who he married on January 9, 1999 in Somerset. He is survived by a step-son Richard J. Emerick married to the former Barbara Miller of Schellsburg, and a step-daughter Cinda wife of Jerry Anderson of Middletown, two grandsons; John D. Brenner and wife Tara of Carlisle and William R. Brenner and wife Colleen of Bedford. Four step- grandchildren: Richard J. Emerick II and wife Paula, Ryan Emerick and wife Elisabeth both of Schellsburg, Nicole wife of Mark Henderson of Middletown and Justin Anderson and wife Emilee of Hummelstown, three great grandchildren; Caitlyn, Nicolas and Jacob Brenner, nine step-great grandchildren; Jenna, Jamie, Jeb, Ellie, Abigail, Cade Emerick, Davis and Jude Henderson and Reagan Anderson, also a son-in-law John David Brenner and wife Patricia. He was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Lou Brenner, two brothers; Albert and Charles Will and a sister Ethel Moyer.
Mr. Will attended Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He was a member of Bedford Masonic Lodge #320 F&AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Harrisburg Shrine. He was a World War II Marine Veteran who served in the Pacific Theater and retired as a superintendent for New Enterprise Stone & Line Co., Inc. in 1991. He loved woodworking, fishing, hunting, traveling, and his great grandchildren. He visited many of the states including his favorite, Alaska, and spent numerous winters in Florida.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Steven Egbert officiating. Burial at Somerset Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, and a half-hour prior to the service, at the church on Tuesday.
