William E. Hollar

William E. Hollar 84, of North Tonawanda, NY, formerly of Everett, died on December 9, 2020 Amherst, NY.  He was born on September 8, 1936 in Everett a son of the late Earl and Lucy Ora (Kifer) Hollar. On February 26, 1959, in Cumberland, MD he married Darlene Foor Hollar and she is survived by their beloved sons:  William E. Hollar Jr. and wife Bonnie of Mt. Vernon, IN, Robert B. Hollar and wife Tracie of North Tonawanda, NY, and Brian K. Hollar and wife Ariana of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren:  Stephani Weldy, Marissa Majors Manley, Jami, Sabrina, Katherine, Nicholas, Jordan, and Matthew Hollar; five great-grandsons:  Mason, Parker, Brady Hollar, Austin Weldy, and little Fritz Majors Manley;  four brothers:  Marshall Hollar of NE; Robert Hollar and wife Donna of Everett; Gene Hollar and wife Audrey of WV; Derwood and wife Janese of CA; a sister Doris Gentilman of ID. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Taylor widow Jen who survives of Bedford. William was an Army Veteran that served in the military from 1955 to 1957. He was most proud of his sharp shooter award and was also very proud of being a country boy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bedford County Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
