William J. Fyfe

William J. Fyfe, 73, of Briar Valley Road, Bedford, died Thursday evening, July 5, 2012, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  He was born on August 29, 1938, in Sidman, the son of the late James and Dorothy (Nancollas) Fyfe.  On October 4, 1957, at the Bald Hill Lutheran Church, he married Nancy J. Lehman who preceded him in death on August 10, 2002.  He is survived by three sons: William J. Fyfe Jr, married to the former Carol Howsare, Lorne S. Fyfe, married to the former Diana Dicken, both of Bedford, Brian K. Fyfe married to the former Dawn Ringler, of Manns Choice, a daughter Patricia A. wife of James Rocker, of Annapolis, MD; eight grandchildren: Kristy Weyant, Michael Leonard, Lorne S. Fyfe Jr., Kenan Fyfe, Amber Lucas, Danielle Wertz, Amanda Rocker, and  Steven Rocker, nine great-grandchildren; three brothers James Fyfe, Donald Fyfe and wife Marge, Robert Fyfe and wife Donna, and a sister Jeanne wife of Herbert Lehman, all of Bedford.

He retired as a machinist from Kennametal, and was a avid train collector.  He served four years in the United States Air Force.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 10 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Sean McGill officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. With military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
