Wilda P. Jones

Wilda  P. Jones,  76, of Seifert Street Bedford, went to be with the lord on Monday, December 25, 2006 surrounded by her family at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on April 23, 1930 in Friends Cove.  A Daughter of the late Harvey V. and Olive M. (Johnson) Hook. She is survived by the following family, son, James H. Cogan married to the former Sherry Fetter of Rainsburg,  son, Timothy G. Jones married to the former Alfrita Homes of Fredericksburg, Va, daughter, Jacquelen S. Diehl of Manns Choice, daughter, Ruby D. wife of Walter Gadoury of East Freedom, daughter, Barbara L. wife of Jack Harold of Bedford, son, Thomas H. Jones married to the former Brenda Albright of Bedford, son, Kevin L. Jones married to the former Roxanne Glass of Bedford, 19 Grandchildren, 3 witch were raised in her home Lynn Ringler, Michael Jones married to the former Candi Bishop and Natasha Dempsey  all of Bedford, 18 Great Grandchildren, sister, Della Jane widow of Lewis Gates of Osterbug, brother, Herman Hook married to the former Shirley Bowser of Rainsburg, sister, Hilda  Eaton of Bedford, and sister, Francis Williams of Bedford. She was preceded in death by 1 brother:  Walter Hook and 2 sisters:  Lena Logue and Rosie Logue.

She was a member of the Yeager Memorial Lutheran Church in Rainsburg. Through the years She had fostered many children. She worked as a cook at Mae’s Diner.and Farefoot Shoe Factory in Bedford

Funeral Services, Friday, December 29, 2006, at 11:00 AM  from the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Jenny Barnes and Rev. Fred Howsare officiating.  Burial in Woods Church Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
