Victoria A. Stigers

Victoria A. “Vickie” Stigers 59 of Burgess Ave., Alexandria, VA, died November 22, 2007 at her residence.  She was born September 24, 1948 in Bedford, daughter of Shirley (Lowe) LeFer of Bunnell, FL and John A. Feight Jr. of Bedford.  She was formerly married to Donald Stigers of Osterburg. She is survived by one daughter Dawn Michelle wife of Eric Alexander of Falls Church, VA, three grandchildren: Henry, Ethan and Michael, a sister Mimi wife of Allen Graybill of Bedford, a half brother Max Gordon of Jacksonville, FL, one niece Thea and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many close friends.

Vickie graduate from Bedford High School, class of 1966, she had an Associates Degree from Northern Virginia Community College and received additional credits at Mary Mount University in Virginia.  She was a member of the Fairlington United Methodist Church in Alexandria.  She worked as a Benefits Analyst for Dimensions International in Alexandria and prior to that worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Washington, DC for over 25 years.  She enjoyed travel, oil painting, collecting vintage jewelry.

Funeral services: Friday 11:00 am at the Bedford United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.  Those wishing may make contributions to the National Capital Area Food Bank, Development Dept. 645 Taylor Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20017, or the Bedford County Food Banks c/o American Red Cross, 100 E.
