Vickie Lee (Howsare) Easter

Vickie Lee (Howsare) Easter, 58, of Bedford, joined her mother and father in heaven on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 in the comfort of her home.  She was born on June 27, 1959, in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Robert Howsare and Adaline (Hughes) Craig. On April 21, 1990, in Bedford, she married her husband Timothy Easter, in Bedford.  Vickie will be continually remembered by her husband Timothy who survives along with three daughters, Katelyn, Amber, and Melissa Easter, of Bedford; and a step-daughter, Karee Duvall and husband Daniel, of Everett, two step-grandchildren: Tevin and Aaliyah Feight.  She will also be remembered by her uncle Earl Howsare and wife Peggy, her close friends:  Vickey Kay Rose, Jackie Frederick and Michele Barkman. Vickie will be welcomed in heaven by her parents, as well as her mother-in-law, Sally Easter.

Vickie was a graduate of Bedford High School, class of 1977. Vickie was a former team member of the Cannondale Company. She also worked at the Riverside Market, as well as the original Bedford Springs Hotel. She was a member of The Bird and Nature Club of Bedford and a member of the Pennsylvania Women’s Bowling Association. She was a lover of birds, flowers, and leaves, and enjoyed bowling, painting, gardening, watching Survivor, and was an amazing cook.  Vickie was a follower of Christ at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. She loved volunteering at her church and with various things within the community. Vickie loved flea markets and she loved sharing pictures of her cat, Nala.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Woods Church Cemetery.   Those wishing can make memorial contributions in Vickie’s name to the St. Thomas Catholic Church, 215 East Penn Street, Bedford, PA 15522.
