Vernon D. Ringbloom

April 17, 1938 — June 16, 2012

Vernon Dennis Ringbloom, 74 of Milligans Cove Road, Manns Choice, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, in Johnstown as a result of a motorcycle accident a week earlier.  He was born on April 17, 1938 in Media, a son of the late Vernon A. and Ann Ringbloom.  He is survived by his wife, the former Rosalie (Kunsman) Mills, his first wife, Beverly Ringbloom, of West Virginia and their two sons, Andrew Ringbloom and wife Tina of Ft. Stewart, GA, and Karl Ringbloom and companion Heather of Lawrence KS, also surviving are three step-children; Sherri Weicht, of Everett, Lesley Jacobs and Fiance Curtis, of New Paris and Gary Mills, and wife Rebecca of Alum Bank, ten grandchildren and a sister Karen Lynch of Florida.  He was preceded in death by his second wife Evelyn.

Dennis was retired from the United States Naval Defense Department.  He was a Tea Party Patriot and was an advocate for the 2nd Amendment.  He was also an advocate for the right to work, a lifetime member of the NRA, and was an amateur gunsmith and an antique gun collector.  He loved the outdoors and was loved by many and missed by all.  He was a Cold War army veteran.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Lyle Mellott officiating.  Burial will be at Pleasant Union Cemetery in Clearville with military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
