Vernon R. Bennett

Vernon Robert Bennett Sr. 66 of Lincoln Highway, Bedford died Saturday August 11, 2001 at his home.  He was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Jones) Bennett.   On April 14 1958 in Blauilt, N.Y.  He married Joyce Botteicher and she survives along with the following children.  John married to the former Kimberly (Dillon) of New Paris, and Vernon Robert ”Robby” Jr. at home. 2 grandchildren,  2 sisters:  Ida Blough of St. Michael, Pa., and Jeannie Defibaugh of Beaverdale, Pa., 2 brothers:  Paul Bennett of Johnstown, Pa., and Sam Bennett of South Fork, Pa. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Grace Azzerella and Thelma Bennett.

Mr. Bennett was a member of the Christ Community Church and an Elder of the church, He was also a member of the Bedford Sportsman’s Club.  He worked road Construction for Zucco Construction Company.

Funeral Services Wednesday August 15th at  11:00 A.M. from the Christ Community Church in the Old Bedford Village with Pastors William Sr. and Ruth Defibaugh officiating.  Friends can be received on Tuesday from 7-9 at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford and a half hour before the service on Wednesday at the Church.
