Thomas F. Tew

Thomas F. Tew 77, of Alum Bank, died Saturday, Aug 31, 2024 at UPMC Altoona.  He was born on August 7, 1947 in Bedford, a son of the late Ralph E. and Anna M. (Mowry) Tew.  He was married to Linda (Pringle) Tew on August 5, 1977, and she preceded him in death on October 18, 2011.  He then married Carleen (Corle) Tew on June 19, 2020, and she survives along with a son, Todd Tew Sr; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-daughters.  He was preceded in death by a step-son Scott Stuart; six brothers: Ralph, Ken, Ed, Charles, Roger, and Fred; and three sisters: Hazel, Mary, and Evelyn.

Thomas served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps from April 1966 until March of April of 1972.  He was discharged at the rank of Lance Corporal.  Tom was a truck driver most of his life.  He loved hunting, fishing, working on his vintage cars and trucks, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Terry Feathers officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard, 3721 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
