Thomas W. Ferguson

Thomas W. Ferguson, 84, of Bedford, died on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Everett, a son of the late Harold T. and Mabel S. (Klahre) Ferguson. On June 18, 1960 in Bedford, he married Donna L. (Young) Ferguson and she preceded him in death on September 27, 2025. He is survived by three daughters: Shelli Bowman and husband Scott of Mechanicsburg, Stacy Dorner and husband Mark of State College, and Lisa Ritchey and husband Todd of Everett; six grandchildren: Kelsi and Madison Bowman, Shane Dorner and wife Macy, Brady Dorner, and Drew and Taylor Ritchey; and two great-grandchildren: Jackson and Kendall Dorner. He was preceded in death by a brother, H. Dale Ferguson.

Tom graduated from Everett High School in 1959 and attended Northern Michigan University on a football scholarship and later transferred to Delaware Valley University. He started his career selling insurance for Prudential. He then sold cars for Thomas Chevrolet, Bedford Ford, and lastly Fox’s Motor Sales where he retired. He was a founding member of B&W Gun Club, a life member of the Bedford Elks Lodge #1707, and the final lap race club. He enjoyed many things that included being a Penn State fan, traveling with his wife, being an official at the Bedford Speedway, hunting, watching his grandchildren at their sporting events, racing, and taking trips with the old dawgs. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Bedford Colonial Courtyard and Gentiva Hospice.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Randy Brant officiating. Burial will be private.
