Thomas W. Colvin

Thomas W. Colvin, 76, of Bedford, died on Friday April 12, 2024 at Bedford Skilled Nursing. He was born on April 10, 1948 in Everett, a son of the late Thomas H. and Margaret E. (Feight) Colvin. On August 25, 1973 in Bedford, he married Phyllis A. (Rose) Colvin who survives along with the following family: two daughters, Catherine E. Udy of Stephens City, VA; Sherry R. Kendall and husband Paul of Bedford; one brother, Dick Colvin of Schellsburg; one sister, Linda Lou Colvin also of Schellsburg; and seven grandchildren:  John Robert, Madison, Jacqueline, and Sophia Udy, Emily, Riley, and Zoe Kendall; and one great-grandson, Grayson  He was preceded in death by three sisters, infant Cathy Colvin , Cora Ann Colvin and Donna JoAnne Colvin.

Tom was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. He retired from Everite Door Company.  He served 3 years in the Army and 22 years with the Army National Guard. He enjoyed camping with his wife at Shawnee State Park and was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440, Bedford American Legion Post #113, Knights of Columbus, and the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park with full military rites conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  Friends will be received on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
