Thomas "Tom" C. Winegardner

Thomas C. ‘Tom’ Winegardner 73, of Schellsburg, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, with his sister by his side.  He was born on January 19, 1946 in Windber, a son of the late Clair V. and Vera E. (Cuppett) Winegardner.  On October 11, 1970 in Clearville, he married Helen (Morral) Winegardner who survives along with a son, David C. Winegardner, a sister, Carol Winegardner, and an aunt Shirley Miller, all of Schellsburg; and many cousins.

Tom was a 1964 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  He farmed and drove truck as owner and operator.  He enjoyed trains and spending time with his son, tinkering on tractors and going to tractor shows.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating.  Burial at Schellsburg Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 3-7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make contributions to Carol Winegardner to help with medical expenses; 1679 Market Street, Schellsburg, PA 15559.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
