Thomas A. Baer, 51, of Seifert St., Bedford, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at his home. He was born February 14, 1959 in Point Pleasant, NJ, son of the late Frank J. and Rose Ann (Ehasz) Baer. He was formerly married to Theresa H. McConnell. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth Baer of Pittsburgh, a son Thomas A. Baer of Altoona, a brother Frank J. Baer Jr. and wife Nancy of Toms River, NJ. and a sister Karen wife of John Sullivan of Brick, NJ.
Mr. Baer was a carpenter mill-wright for Local 2235 of Pittsburgh and a member of Carpenters Union Local 900 of Altoona. He was a member of the Woodbury Lodge #539 F. & A. M., Bedford Moose Lodge # 480, and the Blue Knob Sportsmen’s Club. He was a former member of the Hollidaysburg Lions Club, and a former Boy Scout leader in Newry. He was an avid scuba diver, and in his younger years was active as a volunteer fireman for Blue Knob Fire Dept. and an EMT for Claysburg Ambulance.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church in Blue Knob with Pastor Barb Servello officiating. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com
